Promeet Ghosh named MD & CEO of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals

Promeet Ghosh has been appointed MD & CEO of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals, the company informed in a filing to the exchanges on Monday.

Ghosh's appointment, which is for a period of five years, follows the stepping down of Mathew Job as CEO of the company. He will assume charge starting May 1, 2023 till April 30, 2028.

Ghosh has been on the Company’s Board since 2016, the exchange filing stated.


Ghosh is a graduate in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) from National Institute of Technology, Trichy and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

He was an investment banker for two decades and has served as director on boards of various companies across sectors.

He has worked with DSP Merrill Lynch for 18 years and helped build its M&A franchise.

Ghosh was deputy head Temasek India for nearly a decade. He left his his full-time role at the company in March 2022, after which he served as an advisor until March 2023.
