The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has appointed Ranjeet Mehta as its new CEO and secretary general.

Mehta, a Harvard Business School-certified leader and fellow of the US government's International Visitors Leadership Programme, holds a Ph D in management and has over 34 years of global corporate leadership experience.

"Mehta has over three decades in driving initiatives and advocating for policies that encourage industrial growth, innovation, and sustainability. His leadership is expected to inspire confidence, encourage collaboration, and pave the way for a vibrant economic future and opportunities for the members of PHDCCI," the lobby group said in a statement.

Sanjeev Agrawal, president of PHDCCI, said Mehta’s visionary thinking, coupled with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, makes him the ideal person to steer PHDCCI towards new horizons. “We are confident that under his stewardship, PHDCCI will continue to be a beacon of progress, harmony, development and innovation,” he said.

"Together with our members, policy makers, partners, and stakeholders, we will strive to build a resilient and prosperous future for India’s industrial sector,” said Mehta.
