PepsiCo pledges net-zero emissions by 2040
“The severe impacts from climate change are worsening, and we must accelerate the urgent systemic changes needed to address it,” PepsiCo chairman Ramon Laguarta said in a statement.

The company said it has pledged to achieve the net-zero emissions one decade earlier than called for in the Paris Agreement.

“PepsiCo’s sustainability strategy focuses on areas where it can have the most impact across the full value chain,” the statement said.
The company’s emissions reduction plan will be comprehensive across priority areas such as agriculture, packaging, distribution and operations, across global markets, it said.
