NEW DELHI: Beverage and snacks maker PepsiCo’s HR head Suchitra Rajendra has put in her papers after a 13-year stint with the company.

A PepsiCo spokesperson confirmed the development, and said her successor will be announced shortly.

In February this year, RJ Corp promoted Varun Beverages had acquired PepsiCo’s bottling franchise in the South and West for an estimated Rs 1,850 crore, involving the transfer of 1,900 employees. Post the transaction which gave RJ Corp national scale to PepsiCo’s India business, key functions including sales and distribution are being operated by the franchisee partner. Within beverages, PepsiCo's responsibilities have been scaled down mainly to category creation and brand building.


According to an official directly aware of the development, two candidates are in contention to succeed Rajendra. One of the likely names is Pavitra Singh, presently in a senior role in the company’s HR function, this official said.
