P S Bhattacharya appointed CIL Chairman
The Government on Monday announced the appointment of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Partha Sarathi Bhattacharya as the Chairman of Coal India Limited (CIL).

NEW DELHI: The Government on Monday announced the appointment of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Partha Sarathi Bhattacharya as the Chairman of Coal India Limited (CIL).
He would assume charge on October 1, 2006 following the superannuation of the present incumbent, Shashi Kumar on September 30, a senior Coal Ministry official said.
Earlier the Public Enterprises Selection Board had cleared his appointment following which the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had endorsed it.
