P M Murty to be next MD and CEO of Asian Paints

MUMBAI: Paint manufacturer Asian Paints on Thursday announced the appointment of P M Murty as the next Managing Director and CEO of the company.

P M Murty has been appointed as an additional and whole-time director on the board and he will be designated as the MD and Chief Executive Officer of the company with effect from April 1, Asian Paints said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company has also announced the appointment of Ashwin Choksi, Ashwin Dani and Abhay Vakil as additional non-executive directors on its board.

Further, Ashwin Choksi would be the non-executive Chairman, whereas Ashwin Dani will take over as the non- executive Vice-Chairman of the company, it added.
