TCS is offering digital compensation to freshers who have completed assigned courses, making them eligible for higher salaries beyond the annual compensation of Rs 3 lakh. Sources have revealed that compliance with the return-to-office policy will be a prerequisite for approval of these cases.
According to TOI, TCS is requiring employees to return to the office for all five days of the week, marking the end of work from home for certain teams. Employees have been instructed to go to their designated offices rather than choosing those closer to their homes. Some employees are willing to forgo the city allowance for more flexibility. The HR department is granting limited work from home on a case-by-case basis.
TOI has learned about TCS's return-to-office policy through internal communication between the HR team and employees. However, TCS has not responded to TOI's request for comment at the time of publication.
