North East trade expo inaugurated

AIZAWL: Mizoram Industries Minister S Hiato today inaugurated a 15-day International North East Trade Expo at the Assam Rifles ground.


Hiato expressed the hope that better relationship with South Asian countries would strengthen the central government's Look East Policy.

Handloom and handicraft products of Mizoram, Northeastern states and Asian countries like Thailand, Nepal, Bangladesh, Singapore, Pakistan and Egypt were exhibited in different stalls.

The Expo was jointly organised by the Guwahati-based NGO Prithibi, Percept Networks and the state Industries department.
