Nisaba Godrej, Ireena Vittal appointed to Godrej Consumer Products board
Maker of Cinthol and mosquito repellent has also appointed Vivek Gambhir, chief strategy officer at Godrej, to the board as director.
“Ireena is recognisd as a thought leader on strategy for consumer companies in emerging markets,” he said. Vittal, 43, worked with Nestle India and Max Touch (now Vodafone) before joining McKinsey. She is also on the boards of Titan Industries and Axis Bank.
Nisaba Godrej, 34, studied in Harvard and Wharton. As president, human capital and innovations, she drives human resource policies and innovation at Godrej Industries and associate companies.
The maker of Cinthol soap and GoodKnight mosquito repellent has also appointed Vivek Gambhir, chief strategy officer at Godrej Industries, to the board as director.
He will replace A Mahendran as the managing director of Godrej Consumer Products when the latter’s term expires in June. Before joining the group in 2009, Gambhir was a partner at business consulting firm Bain & Company in places such as Boston, Singapore and New Delhi.
He was also a founding member of Bain’s consulting operations in India and led the firm’s consumer practice in India.
