National meet of company secretaries would be held in Mumbai

VISAKHAPATNAM: President of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India ( ICSI) R Sridharan said here today that 15th national conference of practising company secretaries would be held in Mumbai during the second or third week of June this year.

Addressing a press conference here today, he said that there is a good response for courses in company secretaryship due to plenty of job opportunities and the the institute is engaged in promoting company secretaries as "governance professionals".

He said that there are 35,000 members and 4.50 lakh students are enrolled with the institute, which has registered more than one lakh students to the foundation, executive and professional programmes of the company secretary course through online registration.
