Nachiket Mor quits Gates Foundation India

Mor is leaving the foundation to pursue study of the health sector and to take up again the work of a donor and investor in India’s development sector.

NEW DELHI: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation India country director Nachiket Mor is quitting after being in the office for three years. Spokesperson for the foundation Archna Vyas said Mor will step down on May 24.

“The leadership transition is being worked out and the interim director will be announced soon,” she said.

Mor is leaving the foundation to pursue study of the health sector and to take up again the work of a donor and investor in India’s development sector.


Vyas said the foundation’s India office experienced significant growth in its thinking, operations and impact under Mor. “The country office has worked with the government of India and our various partners and grantees to help put India on a strong path to achieving ambitious health and development goals,” she said.
