Mywish Marketplace gets new directors on board

MUMBAI: Mywish Marketplaces (MMPL) on Friday said that Alok Sethi, Chairman, Franklin Templeton Services, and Vivek Kudva, Managing Director, EMEA and India, Franklin Templeton Investments, have joined the company’s board of directors effective July 2016.

Samir Sood has also joined the MMPL Board to represent Silicon Valley investor Ram Shriram and Sherpalo Capital, effective October 2016.

"Alok Sethi and Vivek Kudva will provide our board with a unique perspective and effective mentorship. They are thought leaders in using technology in financial services space," Puru Vashishtha, Board Chairman, Mywish Marketplaces, said in a statement.

“Samir's understanding of scaling technology businesses globally and his access to technology leaders and talent will be very valuable for us, particularly as we ramp up our team," Vashishtha added.

A fintech company, MMPL, aggregates, markets and facilitates the sale of loan products and credit offerings from banks and financial institutions, and runs financial marketplaces in India. It also owns Deals4loans.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Sethi was with MphasiS BFL, as the chief of staff to the chairman. A DU alumni, Sethi is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

An IITD, IIMA alumni, Kudva was General Manager of Banking with National Bank of Oman before he joined Franklin Templeton.
