Mount Everest Mineral Water has announced a reconstitution of its board inducting six new directors following a stake sale to Tata Tea.

MUMBAI: Mount Everest Mineral Water has announced a reconstitution of its board inducting six new directors following a stake sale to Tata Tea.

Pradeep Poddar has been appointed as MD in place of Salim Govani who has stepped down from the post. Tata Tea MD Percy Siganporia has been inducted as non-executive chairman while four other including Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Pradeep Mallick, Pinakin Desai and Joseph Kodianthara have also been appointed directors.

Salim Govani and Vinod Sethi continue to be non-executive directors on the board while three directors namely Raj Vaisoha, Rohit Aggarwal and Jaidev Shroff have resigned from the board, it added.

Earlier in June this year, Tata Tea had entered into a definitive agreement to purchase 10.74% of equity shares from the promoters and subscribe to a preferential offer of shares of 15% of the capital of the company.
