Modan Saha named Tata Digital Financial Services CEO

Tata Strategic Management Group (TSMG) chief executive Modan Saha has been designated as CEO, financial services, at Tata Digital. Saha already holds a board position in the group's digital entity and would be responsible for building its fintech business portfolio. In addition, he will guide the overall strategy and manage strategic investments at Tata Digital, a company release stated.

Saha has been with TSMG for over four years and has worked on various strategic initiatives, including setting up of Tata Digital. Before joining TSMG, he spent more than 17 years in the financial services industry in various roles in payments, wealth management, online broking, risk management, strategy, fintech initiatives and strategic investments.

Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, Chairman said: "Modan brings deep experience in financial services along with strong strategy capabilities. As a part of the core leadership team at Tata Digital, he will play a key role in building the fintech business and guiding various strategic initiatives."


Saha, in his previous role, supported group companies and the chairman's office in strategy and transformation initiatives. A general management professional, he has deep interest in corporate strategy, product management, human centred design, technology management and risk management.

The board of Tata Digital is likely to be reconstituted with Chandrasekaran as chairman once it commences operations officially and a proposed fundraising takes place.
