Beverage maker Coca-Cola India has also taken up several RWH projects, in partnership with the state government, NGOs and local communities, across the country. It has installed more than 300 RWH structures in 17 states.

Meanwhile, processing and packaging solutions provider, Tetra Pak has joined hands with World Wildlife Fund India and launched the "Young Climate Savers" Programme a series of workshops on climate change in schools across India that aims to educate over 2 lakh children over a period of three years.

It has also another programme in Mumbai in association with an NGO that helps rag-pickers collect used Tetra Pak cartons and sell them to paper mills for recycling purpose.

According to Cairn India Director Corporate Communications David Nisbet: "The company operates in many areas that face economic, social and environmental challenges. We have a responsibility to understand these Corporate Social challenges, identify the potential impact of our activities and, through engaging with stakeholders, look for opportunities for mutual benefit."
