Merrill Lynch is hosting the 'India Investment Forum' in the city to provide a platform for gathering knowledge about India as an investment destination and the emerging opportunities for global investors.

NEW YORK: Global investment bank Merrill Lynch is hosting the 'India Investment Forum' in the city to provide a platform for gathering knowledge about India as an investment destination and the emerging opportunities for global investors.

The 4th annual two-day India Investment Forum, co- hosted by Merrill Lynch and IDFC, is being organised from September 27 and will cover diverse topics, including infrastructure real estate, IT, pharma and banking.

India Investment Forum is one of country's high profile forum in the US that brings together India's decision makers and key influencers, including ministers and regulators, chairpersons and CEOs of leading Indian corporations and international portfolio and direct financial investors, a Merrill Lynch statement said.

"The forum provides a strategic platform to all participants to gather first-hand knowledge of India's unique position as an investment destination and offers interesting insights into emerging investment opportunities in India to global institutional investors," Hemendra Kothari, Chairman, DSP Merrill Lynch, and Vice Chairman, ML International said.

India continues to remain a long-term opportunity for investors and presents an interactive platform for discussions with policy makers, key global investors and leading Indian corporates, he added.
