Maruti Suzuki inks MoU with MDI for training executives

NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki India said it has entered into a long-term academic collaboration with the Management Development Institute ( MDI), Gurgaon, for training its executives, while also providing placement opportunities to the institute's fresh graduates.

The two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU) that envisages utilising the intellectual capital of MDI to facilitate Maruti Suzuki in its various areas of talent and organisation development, the company said in a statement.

As per the agreement, MDI will offer programmes for different levels of executives, including board-level Director's Programmes, Advanced Management Programme for Leadership Development, Senior Management Programme (SMP) and Management Development Programmes (MDP) for the mid-management.

"Maruti Suzuki is confident that the MoU and subsequent management training at MDI will transform executives across levels into tomorrow's visionary corporate leaders," MSI Managing Executive Officer, Administration (HR, Finance, IT and COSL), S Y Siddiqui, said.

On the other hand, MSI would identify the requirements of executives and participate in final placements for employing students graduating in various programmes at MDI, the statement added.

Besides this, MDI will also offer long-duration programmes such as Executive Fellow Management Programmes (EFPM), Executive MBA, Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management and Part-Time Post Graduate Programme in Management for MSI executives.
