Maruti Suzuki India sets up water ATM at Kasan;to open 3 more in the region
The initiative to set up Water ATM in Kasan village was based on the need of the villagers for potable drinking water and to reduce water borne diseases.

The car market leader has invested around Rs 20 lakh in setting up the water ATM facility at Kasan, which has a capacity to generate 1,000 litres of purified water per hour.
The facility will benefit over 10,000 residents in the village, MSI said in a regulatory filing.
"The initiative to set up Water ATM in Kasan village was based on the need of the villagers for potable drinking water and to reduce water borne diseases," MSI Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, RS Kalsi said.
MSI has has borne the initial cost of the project while the Kasan village panchayat is the project owner and has provided land.
The panchayat will be providing the water and electricity to run the water ATM. Waterlife India will undertake operations and maintenance of the plant for a period of ten years, and will sell water at a nominal rate of 35 paise per litre.
