L&T Infotech names NIIT Tech’s former COO Sudhir Chaturvedi as head of sales

MUMBAI: L&T Infotech said it appointed NIIT Technology’s former chief operating officer Sudhir Chaturvedi as it President of Sales, the latest in the series of top-level hires the recently-listed IT company has made.

Chaturvedi resigned from NIIT Technologies on Friday.

"We are on a path to build the most client centric company in the industry and Sudhir brings expertise and results-driven approach to enable this transformation," Sanjay Jalona, CEO of L&T Infotech said in a statement.

Chaturvedi joined NIIT Technologies in August 2013. He spent the previous 13 years at Infosys in various roles including Vice President for High-Tech & Manufacturing in Europe and Senior Vice President for Banking & Financial Services in the Americas.

In February, L&T Infotech hired Aftab Ullah, the head of Bank of America’s India captive, as its chief operating officer. Jalona has also hired top talent from Infosys, Mindtree and Accenture.
