MUMBAI: Chinese technology manufacturer Lenovo on Wednesday said that it has supplied 6,000 units of ThinkPad Yoga 460 to Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology ( KIIT), Bhubaneswar.

KIIT’s collaboration with the Legendary ThinkPad series has spanned over seven years which has helped students with powerful and reliable hybrid computing devices for their curriculum, a statement said.

“We work with government and private institutions across the country to digitally enable students, as it means to contribute towards the Government’s Digital India initiative," said Rohit Midha, Director, Commercial & Tablets Business, Lenovo India.

"We want to be seen as the brand that makes education fun, easy and accessible to all students," he added.

Apart from PCs, Lenovo also provides a host of student accessories like solar powered chargers, student-backpacks, and projector-coupled devices which of late have gained a lot of momentum across rural India.

“We are an eco-friendly campus and are always looking for means to go paper-less. ThinkPad Yoga 460’s touch-screen has helped us to drastically reduce paper usage in our classrooms," DN Dwivedy, Management Representative, KIIT said.
