MUMBAI: Karan Bajwa has resigned from Microsoft India.

“We confirm that Karan Bajwa, managing director of our sales and marketing group, has decided to pursue an opportunity outside Microsoft after spending nine successful years with us,” a Microsoft spokesperson told ET. “We value and acknowledge his contributions in building a strong local business and wish him the very best in his new endeavour."

When asked, Bajwa said: “I would not confirm anything at this point.” He will be with Microsoft until June 30.

Bajwa joined Microsoft India in November 2007 and, after serving in senior leadership roles, moved to his current post in 2013. He has spent almost 25 years in the IT and telecom industries, working for organizations such as Microsoft, Cisco and IBM. An electronics engineer by training, his colleagues say he's driven and believes in leading from the front.
