K Subrahmanyam appointed UBI's executive director

MUMBAI: Union Bank of India today said that top Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) executive K Subrahmanyam has assumed charge as its Executive Director.

Subrahmanyam, who has spent over three decades in IOB holding various positions, was posted as general manager in charge of IOB's MSME portfolio.

The appointment comes amid one of the UBI's executive directors being promoted as the CMD of Bank of Baroda.

Subrahmanyam who joined IOB in 1975 as a probationary officer, rose through the ranks and became CEO of its Singapore operations during 2008-10.
