Intercity food delivery startup JustMyRoots has acquired The State Plate (TSP), which operates in the non-perishable packaged food segment, as part of its plans to expand presence in the packaged intercity food market across the country.

TSP was featured on Shark Tank India Season 1 and went on to receive funding from Lenskart CEO Peyush Bensal. It has also raised pre-seed capital from venture capital fund Antler India at nearly $2 million valuation.

Under the terms of the deal, TSP founders Muskaan Sancheti and Raghav Jhawar will integrate into the JustMyRoots team and continue to manage the business.

"JustMyRoots has always been committed to redefining intercity food delivery in India and this acquisition represents a significant stride toward that vision," said Samiran Sengupta, CEO at JustMyRoots.

Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly recently picked up a minority stake in JustMyRoots.
