Jungle Ventures' Arpit Beri and Rishab Malik
New Delhi: Jungle Ventures has promoted Arpit Beri and Rishab Malik to managing partners, strengthening its senior leadership as it scales investment activity across India and Southeast Asia, the early- and growth-stage venture capital firm said on Wednesday.

Beri previously led the firm’s venture-growth investments, while Malik oversaw its pre-seed and seed-stage deals, as Jungle expanded its footprint across stages and geographies.

The promotions come as Jungle Ventures’ India portfolio has grown to more than 30 companies with a combined enterprise value of $8.5 billion.

The firm’s Indian investments include Atomberg, Turtlemint, Leap, Infinity Fincorp, CityMall, BetterPlace, Sanlayan, Esc Plan, Distill, Pratilipi, Moglix, Livspace and Waterfield Advisors.

Globally, Jungle’s portfolio spans Southeast Asia and other markets, with investments in companies such as Kredivo, Sociolla, Dat Bike, Yay Group and Brick, taking the cumulative portfolio enterprise value to more than $15 billion.

Founded in 2015, Jungle Ventures focuses on backing early- and growth-stage companies led by second-time founders and experienced operators, a strategy that has included early investments in firms such as Livspace and Moglix, as well as venture-growth rounds in companies like Paysense, which was later acquired by PayU.

Jungle Ventures also promoted Karissa Adelaide from its Southeast Asia investment team and Vishesh Sharma from its India team to principal roles, as part of a broader leadership bench strengthening.

“Arpit, Rishab, Karissa and Vishesh represent the very best of Jungle’s homegrown leadership,” said Amit Anand, founding partner, Jungle Ventures. He added that their investment judgement and ability to support experienced founders and operators reflect the firm’s long-term approach to building companies.
