MUMBAI: Sectors like information technology, banking, retail and healthcare which are heavily reliant on skilled labour are likely to face a massive talent crunch over the next five years, a study by CII and Boston Consulting Group has said.

The study titled 'India's demographic dilemma' released today said Indian economy is likely to be overwhelmingly dependent on the growth of the services sector.

According to the study, over 70 per cent of the country's incremental GDP and 60 per cent of new jobs over the next five years are expected to be generated by services.

However, the study noted the sectors will find it difficult to attract sufficient talent to meet their
requirements.

Janmejaya Sinha, Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group said the main problem is finding employable people due to poor quality of education imparted to students.
