Infosys had announced his resignation earlier this month. His last day at Infosys is January 31.

The French firm said it had begun a process of transformation and digitalization was a key part of its growth plan.

“To accelerate this transformation, CMA CGM is recruiting the best specialists in the field and that is why CMA CGM is recruiting Rajesh Krishnamurthy to drive this strategy,” the company said in a statement.

Krishnamurthy has spent over 25 years at Infosys. He was promoted to president in 2016, at a time when the company was facing a slew of executive exits. He was responsible for Energy, Utilities, Telecommunications and Services. He also led the consulting and European business for Infosys.

Last year, former Infosys president Sandeep Dadlani resigned to become Chief Digital Officer at confectionery company Mars. In recent years there have been a slew of top level exits at the Bengaluru-headquartered company, which has weathered a prolonged spell of management upheaval, including the abrupt departure of former CEO Vishal Sikka in August 2017.
