Infosys Technologies CEO elected CII (south) chairman
Infosys Technologies CEO and Managing Director Kris Gopalakrishnanan was tonight elected Chairman of Conderation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region.

CHENNAI: Infosys Technologies CEO and Managing Director Kris Gopalakrishnanan was tonight elected Chairman of Conderation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region.
He succeeds present Chairman and PSG Institutions Chief Executive C R Swaminathan.
Gopalakrishnan's name was announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted Southern Regional council held here, a CII press release said.
Prior to this, Gopalakrishnan an alumni of IIT Madras, was deputy chairman of CII-Southern region and also headed its Innovation Task Force in 2008-09, it said.
Managing Director of Taylor Rubber Pvt Ltd T T Ashok was appointed Deputy Chairman of CII-Southern region for 2010-11.
Prior to this, he was Chairman of CSR Sub-Committee, CII- Southern Region in 2009-10 and Past Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu State Council during 2004-05.
