Delivering his speech at the awards, Pranab said that the rupee fall is largely driven by international factors. “Weak rupee has prevented better inflation management and pressure on rupee may continue until EU crisis gets over,” said Pranab.
KV Kamath, Chairman, Infosys, said, "There is more need for clarity than reforms, government is only a player in Agenda for Renewal. We need to provide a good climate for foreign investors and priority is to improve sentiment and mood."
Prashanth Ruia of Essar Group said, "India is not badly affected by global slowdown, foreign investors want more policy decisions. India is among the better performing economies of the world."
