India Manufacturing Excellence and Sustainability 4.0 Awards 2024: Frost & Sullivan celebrates industry pioneers

Against the backdrop of an evolving industrial landscape, Frost & Sullivan’s (IMEA) and Sustainability 4.0 Awards brought together industry leaders and visionaries at the Four Seasons Hotel, Bengaluru. The awards honoured companies redefining manufacturing and sustainability through innovation, operational efficiency, and forward-thinking strategies.

Now in its 20th year, IMEA has established itself as a benchmark for manufacturing excellence, while the Sustainability 4.0 Awards, in its 15th edition, continue to recognise organisations embedding environmental and social responsibility into their core operations.

In his opening address, Aroop Zutshi, Global Managing Partner & Executive Board Member, Frost & Sullivan, remarked, “For the past 20 years, Frost & Sullivan has been dedicated to tracking, monitoring, and driving manufacturing excellence in India. Nearly 25 years ago, we recognised the need for India to establish itself as a key player in the global economy. The awards continued with the Smart Factory Award, presented to:

• ABB India Limited - Smart Power Division, Bengaluru – Smart Factory of the Year
• Hindalco Industries Limited - Mahan Aluminium – First Runner-up

One of the most anticipated categories, the Sustainable Factory of the Year Award, was awarded to Royal Enfield (A Unit of Eicher Motors Ltd.). Additionally, the Sustainable Corporate of the Year Award was presented to:

• Mondelez India Foods Private Limited – Manufacturing sector
• Genpact India Private Limited – Service sector

The Future Ready Factory Awards were then conferred upon 12 companies, recognising their commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

This brought the evening to the highest awards of the evening - the four apex awards of the year. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited was named Indian Corporate of the Year, with Hindalco Industries Limited and Vedanta Limited - Aluminium Business being named as first and second runners-up, respectively. ABB India Limited - Smart Power Division won the coveted Indian Manufacturer of the Year award.
