India Inc, policymakers to log in for ET Awards tomorrow

The bluest of blue-chip events in India Inc’s calendar – the Economic Times Awards for Corporate Excellence – is virtual this year. But register, if you haven’t already, at https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/etawards and you will see from 5 pm onwards this Saturday, March 20, that virtual it may be, the ET Awards gala will pack just as much punch as its in-person avatar.

It’s not just the fantastic list of winners, business and government leaders who fought the economic crisis and set new benchmarks. As every year, we have key policymakers, India Inc heavyweights and thought leaders speaking on top-of-the-mind issues. People who matter talking about things that matter.

Leading the star cast, as every year, is India’s finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, who most likely will soon be shepherding the world’s fastest growing major economy. She will speak on growth and jobs, and will answer questions from a select group of corporate leaders.

What are India’s post-pandemic challenges? To get India Inc’s views on that vital issue, we got some of India’s top business leaders together – Sajjan Jindal, Chairman, JSW Group; SN Subrahmanyan, CEO & MD, Larsen & Toubro; Bhavish Aggarwal, Cofounder & CEO, Ola; Amit Agarwal, Country Head, Amazon India; and Vibha Padalkar, MD & CEO, HDFC Life.

That’s not all. One of the most influential investment gurus and global voices, Morgan Stanley’s Ruchir Sharma, will be interviewed by Swaminathan Anklesaria Aiyar, ET’s Consulting Editor and a much-respected columnist. Sharma, author of the seminal book, Ten Rules of Successful Nations, is always original and thought-provoking.

And as every year, we have a great MC to hold the show together and give us some laughs. Doing that critical duty this year is Cyrus Sahukar, actor, stand-up comic and television presenter.
