NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and KPMG India will be offering a two-day orientation programme to sensitise existing and prospective directors to the nuances of corporate board functioning.

The programme, a joint initiative of IICA and KPMG Governance Institute, will be conducted in major cities across the country with the first one scheduled at New Delhi in October, a statement said today.

The initiative will help address the demand for directors, in the near future, after announcement of the new Companies Act, the statement added.

The programme will focus on serving non-executive directors and aspiring independent directors.

IICA which is engaged in capacity building and training in various subjects and matters relevant to corporate regulation and governance was established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

KPMG Governance Institute, is an one of the outreach arms of KPMG Academy.
