NEW DELHI: Passenger car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Monday contributed Rs.2 crore to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation operations for the people affected by various natural calamities in the country.

"As a responsible corporate, we are extending full cooperation to the Indian government in all measures for rescue, relief and rehabilitation to those who have suffered from these natural calamities," B.S. Seo, managing director and chief executive, Hyundai Motor India was quoted as saying in a statement.

The company's top management presented a cheque of Rs.2 crore to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

According to the automobile manufacturer, the contribution is intended to provide rehabilitation for people who have been affected by the flood and for restoration of areas that were distraught by the floods and landslides in various states.
