Shanti Ekambaram, Deputy Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank, topped the list of leading women professionals in the country. Radha Vembu, co-founder of Zoho, topped the list of first-generation wealth creators with an impressive net worth of INR 55,300 crore. Meanwhile, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, chairperson of HCL Technologies, led the next-generation women leaders list, with HCL Technologies valued at INR 4.87 lakh crore. Both women exemplified the growing influence and success of female entrepreneurs and leaders in India’s corporate landscape.
Top-Ranked/Notable Women Leaders Across Multiple Categories
Roshni Nadar Malhotra, third on this list, was gifted 47% of HCL shares by her husband making her the majority shareholder and the world’s fifth-richest woman.
Whereas Rohini Nilekani, at the forefront of philanthropy, contributed Rs 154 crore, focusing on policy reform, civic engagement, and systemic change to drive lasting institutional impact.
Arpita Singh, a banker-turned-modernist painter, achieved an impressive total sales figure of Rs 22.9 crore. Maintaining her artistic prominence, Singh's remarkable achievement is underlined by the sale of six lots of her artwork throughout the year. Her most expensive painting, "Watching" (2004), made a significant contribution to her overall sales, further solidifying her status as a leading figure in contemporary Indian art.
Hurun also celebrated India’s youngest women making waves across diverse fields. Leading the pack is 26-year-old Mrunal Panchal, the youngest honouree, whose inclusion underscores a bold truth: age is no barrier to impact.
