HUL appoints R Sridhar as Executive Director-Finance & IT

MUMBAI: FMCG major, Hindustan Unilever, has appointed R Sridhar as Executive Director for Finance and IT with effect from tomorrow.

Sridhar would be replacing current Vice-Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, D Sundaram, who steps down today.

He is a gold medallist chartered accountant, a cost accountant and a company secretary, HUL said in a press release.

Sridhar is currently Unilever's Vice-President, Finance and Controller for Asia, Africa and Central & Eastern Europe (AACEE) region.

He will also be a part of the company's Management Committee, the release said.

The AACEE region is the largest of the three regions for Unilever with a turnover of around Euro 15-billion.

Prior to joining Unilever, Sridhar worked with engineering and construction major, Larsen & Toubro.
