Hinduja Group, JLR among Asian Business awards winners
The multi-billion Hinduja Group has won the Lifetime Achievement Award instituted by the Asian Business Awards, while the Tatas-owned Jaguar Land Rover has received the International Asian Business of the Year award.

LONDON: The multi-billion Hinduja Group has won the Lifetime Achievement Award instituted by the Asian Business Awards, while the Tatas-owned Jaguar Land Rover has received the International Asian Business of the Year award.
Kingfisher Airlines won the Incredible India award for the Favourite Airline in 2010. The Asian Business Hotelier of the Year Award went to Jasminder Singh, the chairman and chief executive of Radisson Edwardian Hotels.
The Asian Business Awards recognise success, innovation and ethics across all industry sectors.
Receiving the award, Hinduja Group Chairman Srichand Hinduja said the recognition goes to the entire Asian community, which has made a substantial contribution to the economic growth of Britain.
"The award is for you, but it will be kept in our custody," said G P Hinduja, Vice-chairman of the Group.
A representative of Jaguar received award for JLR, owned by Tata Motors. The Indian auto manufacturer in 2008 took over the much-loved British brands in a 1.25 billion pound deal.
Singh's Radisson Edwardian Hotels is one of London's largest privately-owned hotel groups. The group has an annual turnover of 90 million pounds and a net worth of more than 250 million pounds.
"This year's winners show that Asian entrepreneurship is well and truly alive, even in these very tough times." Kalpesh Solanki, group managing editor for the Asian Media & Marketing Group, which publishes Eastern eye, said.
