Here is how India Inc’s top guns are getting paid
A pay package of Rs 2 crore on average is the new normal for CXO level roles in large companies across sectors, according to Aon Consulting research shared exclusively with ET.

In big companies, if the CXO position is also a board position, the compensation is higher by at least 15-20%. The components of CXO compensation include fi xed pay, which is 50% of the pay package; short-term incentives and annual bonus account for 25% while long-term benefi ts like stock options account for another 25% of the pay package.
