Gujarati businessmen to connect with Entrepreneurs' Organisation

The EO is a global network for entrepreneurs with over 7,500 business owners spread across 38 countries.

AHMEDABAD: Budding entrepreneurs and scions of established industrial houses soon going to have their exclusive body for idea exchange and networking in Gujarat. A group of young businessmen have come together to launch Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) in the state. The EO is a global network for entrepreneurs with over 7,500 business owners spread across 38 countries.

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is expected to launch EO-Gujarat formally in November at Science City in presence of EO members from parts of the country. Jinesh Shah of Torrent Group, Nirav Gandhi of Express Group, Subir Goradia of Kunkel Wagner, Janmejay Gandhi of Vadilal Group, Varun Mehta of Maize Products, Raj Patel of Royal Laminates and Mit Shah of Shaan Leisures among others have joined EO-Gujarat. Members with an average age of 32 years represent their respective companies with turnover of at least Rs 50 crore.

India already has 12 EO chapters in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Coimbatore among other major cities with membership base of 600 entrepreneurs in the age bracket of 25-45 years. Hital Meswani of Reliance, Pranav Adani of Adani Group, Darshan Hiranandani of Hiranandani Group, Mruda Nair of Leela Group, Vikram Shroff of UPL, Pranav Amin of Alembic, Aditya Burman of Dabur, Chetan Kajaria of Kajaria Ceramics and Vishal Lohia of Indo Rama are Entrepreneurs’ Organisation members in Mumbai and Delhi.

Confirming the development EO-Gujarat president and MD of PCS Construction Chiranjiv Patel said, "Entrepreneurs from parts of Gujarat will now have better connect with their counterparts in Indian and international arena. The EO believes in establishing better connect among the members from parts of the world for idea exchange." He stated that EO focuses purely on initiatives such as enabling members to get personal board of advisors for his or her ventures and offer opportunities to participate in global events.

EO members hold their periodic meets, better known as ‘forum’, to share developments in their respective business and business environment. EO membership also enables entrepreneurs to avail privileges by various airlines, hotels and service providers. EO Gujarat has already ‘selected’ 25 members from the state after due dilligance and it is going to limit the membership to only 60.
