Goda park project to be developed by Reliance Foundation

Nashik Municipal Corporation has decided to hand over the Goda park project in the city to Mumbai-based Reliance Foundation.

NASHIK: The Nashik Municipal Corporation has decided to hand over the Goda park project in the city to Mumbai-based Reliance Foundation.


This was announced by city mayor Yatin Wagh at the NMC's general body meeting here yesterday.

The work on the 13.5 km pet project of MNS chief Raj Thackeray on the banks of river Godavari has not been gaining momentum for want of adequate funding.

Hence the MNS-ruled NMC has now decided to hand over the Goda park project to Reliance Foundation.

The 13.5 km long project will be developed from Ahilyadevi bridge to Gangapurgaon, having facility of laser shows, musical fountains, rope-way, multi-purpose meeting hall, garden, place for exercise including yoga, water sports and plantation of herbal plants and a canteen.
