The company, which had earlier decided to set up a Greenfield glass-lined equipment production at Hyderabad, said it has entered into an agreement with De Dietrich Process Systems India (DDPSI) for acquiring latter’s facility located at Nacharam industrial area of Hyderabad.
In a communique to stock exchanges, GMM Pfaudler said it has entered into a binding term sheet with DDPSI for itemised sale of their manufacturing facility, which includes plant, machinery, and land of six acres.
This, the company said will give it access to ready-made glass-lined equipment manufacturing capacity which will result in growth through immediate market share improvement.
“We are now well poised to take advantage of the expected investment in the upcoming Pharma City in Hyderabad and maintain our market leadership position in India,” said GMM Pfaulder’s managing director Tarak Patel in the statement.
US-headquartered Pfaudler Inc had in 1987 subscribed to 40% equity in Gujarat Machinery Manufacturers (GMM) to form the joint venture, and subsequently hiked its stake to 51% in 1999 and changed the name to GMM Pfaudler. German private equity giant Deutsche Beteiligungs AG had in 2015 acquired Pfaudler Inc.
