GE's Raj Raghavan joins Amazon as HR Head

Mr Raghavan was associated with GE for around 10 years which included a stint with GE Capital International Services, now Genpact.

BANGALORE: Raj Raghavan, the GM HR at GE India Tech Centre, has joined electronic commerce company, Amazon as director human resources for India. Raghavan will handle talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development across Amazon's three centres in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. Mr Raghavan was associated with GE for around 10 years which included a stint with GE Capital International Services, now Genpact. Mr Raghavan had also worked with Ford India as the head for new markets.

Amazon India's ex-HR head, Madan Nagaldinne, joined Facebook as HR head in February. "The whole gamut of HR which includes talent managements, recruitments, training, leadership development is exciting and specially for a company that has become $35 billion in 15 years. Its focus on India is another reason," Raghavan said.
