GE T&D India appoints Pitamber Shivnani as CEO & President

NEW DELHI: GE T&D India has announced appointment of Pitamber Shivnani as the company's Chief Executive Officer & President, GE Grid Solutions South Asia.

As part of this role he will be responsible for managing GE’s Grid Solutions markets for India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar from this region. Shivnani has an experience of over 30 years in the transmission and distribution sector in India. He joins GE T&D India from ABB where he was President of Power Grid Division.

Pitambar replaces Sunil Wadhwa, who left the company last year to pursue opportunities outside GE.

An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Shivnani has also attended the Senior Leadership Development Program at the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland and Harvard School of Business, US.

GE T&D is into Power Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Gas Insulated Switchgears, Instrument Transformers, and Substation Automation Equipment.
