MUMBAI: Finance Buddha announced on Thursday the appointment of Rajiv Jamkhedkar to its advisory board. This appointment comes at an important time for the sector as it outlines the growing acceptability of industry stalwarts to put their weight behind high growth fintech companies.

In his last corporate assignment, Jamkhedkar was the MD and CEO of AEGON Religare Life Insurance Company for 6 years (2007-2013).

"We will be working closely with Rajiv in the coming days to open multiple opportunities for our tech enabled automated lending platform, which will drive the seamless insta-loan objective of the company. In addition, Rajiv will also help in creating a customer level strategy to offer more products to our existing more than 1,00,000 customer base and optimize opportunities across the spectrum for our customers," said Parth Pande, co-founder, Finance Buddha.

Before AEGON Religare Life Insurance, Rajiv's spent over two decades in retail banking, managing and running loans businesses at Citibank. He is a veteran in unsecured personal loans, commercial and small-business loans, auto finance, mortgages and project finance.

Rajiv's last assignment at Citi was - Head of Personal Loans and SME business banking. During that period, Rajiv also helped Citi setup 'Citi Business'- a differentiated SME banking proposition including loans, trade finance, cards, and forex for small business.
