The joint venture, announced last month at RIL's Annual General Meet (AGM), will invest about ₹855 crore (US$100 million), with Reliance holding a 70% stake and Meta 30%. The entity will use Meta’s open-source Llama models and Reliance’s enterprise reach to offer AI tools across sectors.
The partnership will focus on two key offerings: an enterprise AI platform-as-a-service for organisations to customise and deploy generative AI models, and a suite of pre-configured solutions tailored for industries such as sales, marketing, IT operations, customer service, and finance.
Meta will contribute its technical expertise in building Llama-based models, while Reliance will leverage its digital infrastructure and access to thousands of Indian enterprises and small businesses, RIL had said in a release. The solutions will be designed for deployment across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures, with a focus on lowering the total cost of ownership.
