Rajan should wait for things to normalise and improve rather than reacting on the spur of the moment. Young leaders tend to be enthusiastic, passionate and a little aggressive in their approach. He should respect his new boss the way he did his previous supervisor. He should also try and help his new boss in the initial phase. If the situation does not improve after a while, he might want to seek his seniors’ intervention.

It is sometimes hard when a new boss takes over and you do not know whether to abide by his rules or do your own thing. However, in this situation, it is best to gauge his leadership skills, likes and dislikes when it comes to working style and be as helpful as you can. Maintain a good attitude, be calm and carry on.
