ET Young Leaders 2014: How the process unfolded

Corporate executives aged 26-32 years were eligible to participate in the ET Young Leaders Programme.The third edition of the programme saw nearly 20,000 young executives fighting for a place in the coveted ranking of India’s future leaders. The candidates were evaluated by a CEO panel of 13. Phase 1 consisted of an online personality-based evaluation of the candidates.

In phase 2, shortlisted candidates were put through a set of tests: an analytical test, a verbal ability test and a personality assessment. The online test was followed by an on-ground assessment in select cities across India.

For on-ground assessment, candidates were required to be part of a group of 8-10 people and evaluated on group tasks, roleplays, and the like, over approximately four hours. Participants who qualified proceeded to the final phase of the programme. Only 74 men and women made it to the final phase where each of the candidates was interviewed by one among ET’s panel of 13 top CEOs. Final Young Leaders list of 37 was picked by this CEO panel.
