In a panel discussion moderated by Sruthijith KK, Executive Editor of The Economic Times, prominent leaders from various sectors gathered to explore "Navigating The New Normal: Doing Business in Rising Uncertainty." The panel featured Rich Lesser, Global Chair of BCG; Marc-André Blanchard, Head of CDPQ International; Ritu Arora, CEO & CIO (Asia Pacific) of Allianz Investment Management; and Nouriel Roubini, Professor Emeritus at NYU Stern School of Business and CEO of Roubini Macro Associates.
While talking on India economy amidst uncertainties, Nouriel Roubini said that the South Asian country is set for a soft landing. Country that has population of 1.4 billion might see troubles due to aging of population that may reduce growth, explained Roubini further.
Moving on to sustainability, Ritu Arora, CEO & CIO, (Asia Pacific) Allianz Investment Management explained that sustainability is an interesting way how markets are going to be shaped up in the coming years. US Elections slated for November 5 will have a huge impact on trade flows, said the CEO.
As China faces tradewars globally, Arora believes that India should benefit and structural funds are coming in with the neighouring country under stress.
