ET Awards: Economic Times report on Mobile Tech wins prize

Mumbai: An Economic Times article on mobile security has won the Best Feature in Technology Journalism prize at the 21st annual PoleStar Awards.

'Breach Suspected!', written by G Seetharaman and Rahul Sachitanand and published in July 2018 in the Economic Times Magazine, the newspaper’s Sunday edition, was chosen from 115 entries. The article detailed the security challenges posed by outdated versions of Google’s Android mobile operating system, which powers nine out of every 10 smartphones in India.

An ET Prime article on binary options by Jyotindra Dubey earned the jury’s special recognition. The awards were presented by S Ramadorai, former chief executive of Tata Consultancy Services, and Arun Jain, founder, PoleStar Foundation, in Chennai on November 15.
