ET Prime Women Leadership Awards: Celebrating women leaders every year

Indra Nooyi once said, "Leadership is hard to define and good leadership even harder. But if you can get people to follow you to the ends of the earth, you are a great leader."

The pandemic's unequal and harsh gender impact on women is widely acknowledged. And yet, women made opportunities for themselves and others in these circumstances. Determined to make a difference through sheer grit.

ETPrime Women Leadership Awards was launched in 2019 to identify current and future women leaders who exhibit the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and excellence. The award is now in its third edition with Accenture as Presenting Partner, Knowledge Partner is Accord India, and Bespoke Partner is Da Milano.


Across eight-plus weeks, we invited nominations across 12 award categories, namely Business Leader, CEO, Lifetime Achievement, Global Indian, Beyond Business, Human Resource Leader, Finance Leader, Manufacturing Operations Leader, Sales and Marketing Leader, Technology Leader, Emerging Leader, and for the first time an award on 'gender equality' titled Accenture Vaahini Gender Equality Champion from across India.

Each nomination was scrutinised by the knowledge partner, Accord India, and senior Editors of EconomicTimes.com. Candidates were then shortlisted for review by the eminent jury to decide winners across award categories.

The eminent jury of ET Prime Women Leadership Awards this year comprises Amit Chandra (Managing Director and Chairman, Bain Capital), Devina Mehra (Chairperson, Managing Director and Founder, First Global), Gautam Sinha (Chief Executive Officer, Times Internet), Mallika Srinivasan (Chairman and Managing Director, Tractors and Farm Equipment), Kaku Nakhate (President and Country Head, Bank of America in India), Karthik Reddy (Co-founder and Managing Director, Blume Ventures), Rekha M Menon (Chairperson and Senior Managing Director, Accenture India, and Chairperson, NASSCOM), and Shanti Ekambaram (Group President, Consumer Banking and Member of Group Management Council, Kotak Mahindra Bank).

Over the next several days, the nominees' journey to leadership, facets of their life journeys, and advice from the eminent jury will be featured right here on EconomicTimes.com to inspire many more to follow in their footsteps.
