ET Excellence Awards felicitates the finest entrepreneurs of Telugu states

The ET Excellence (AP & Telangana) 2023 awards night was a spectacular event held at the HICC, Novotel, in Hyderabad on June 23, 2023. The gathering brought together distinguished personalities from various industries, creating an atmosphere of grandeur and prestige. The event, organised by Optimal Media Solutions, a division of the Times of India group, aimed to honour exceptional achievers across different sectors.

The evening commenced with Shabbeer Ahmed, a seasoned anchor, leading the proceedings Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana and Lt Governor of Puducherry graced the occasion as the first chief guest. Upon their arrival, the national anthem was played. Subsequently, the Governor inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The renowned dance group ‘Avi’ set the tone for the evening with a classical dance performance dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Expressing her support for the event, the Governor stated, "I must attend this event as The Economic Times is recognising exemplary businessmen and businesswomen and acknowledging their hard work. It is my responsibility to come and show my support. It is not easy to get these awards. It takes a lot of sacrifices, sleepless nights and letting go of pleasures to achieve something. In this challenging, competitive world, there are ample opportunities that come with their own issues. Post the pandemic, India is moving forward, and I should appreciate everyone who contributes to the development of the economy of our country. It isn’t easy to walk through the challenging field of business. I appreciate The Economic Times for encouraging hardworking business entrepreneurs. Another request is that the gender gap should be restored. More opportunities should be given to women." She then presented awards to several deserving winners, including innovative companies from different sectors. After the departure of the Governor, the dance group Avi returned to the stage with a captivating medley of Bollywood and South Indian numbers.

The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as the second chief guest, acclaimed actor Mrunal Thakur, made her entrance. Thakur's cheerful and lively persona enlivened the ambience as she shared her interests and showcased her command of the Telugu language. She also mentioned her experiences in Hyderabad and how the food had overwhelmed her before presenting awards to the deserving recipients. The awards ceremony, however, did not bring the curtain down on the evening's festivities. After Thakur's departure, guests were treated to a delectable spread of food and cocktails, accompanied by a vibrant live performance by the band 'Safar.' Overall, it was an evening filled with glitz and gratification for all those in attendance.

The ET Excellence (AP & Telangana) 2023 awards night served as a platform to acknowledge outstanding individuals and organisations, showcasing their remarkable achievements and contributions. The event not only honoured the deserving winners but also provided an opportunity for networking, entertainment, and fostering a sense of pride within the business and cultural communities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
