This is India’s century and the country could solve some of the most complex issues that humankind is facing, Punit Renjen, global chief executive of Deloitte said.

“I’m looking forward to what India would do to solve some of the most complex issues that we face as humankind: climate, digitisation, and upskilling and skilling, particularly of women and girls,” said Renjen.

He said that when he moved to the US Milton Friedman’s refrain was the prevailing thought — “the role of business is business. Worry about the bottom line and everything else will take care of itself.”


“We at Deloitte put effort into the Covid response in India. We did that not just because it was the right thing to do, but because it was the right business thing to do. The impact that it had on my 350,000 professionals was profound,” said Renjen
